MARKET OVERVIEW - China's Real Estate Market Shows Signs of Recovery

According to a research note by Nomura analysts Jizhou Dong and Riley Jin, the Chinese real estate market is showing signs of recovery as homebuyer confidence continues to rise. Analysts noted that some investors believe the increase in property sales in October was largely driven by pent-up demand and may not be sustainable. However, they stated that the recovery in the sales volumes of new and secondary homes in November represents an increasingly positive surprise for the Chinese real estate sector. Nomura indicated that with a favorable policy environment and developers' ongoing efforts to boost sales until the end of the year, the positive sentiment should last at least until December.
