"9th Judicial Package Becomes Law"
The "Draft Law on Amending Certain Laws," commonly known as the "9th Judicial Package," has been published in the Official Gazette and has come into effect. According to the law, an amendment has been made to the Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law, allowing an auction to be extended by three minutes if a new bid is placed within the last ten minutes of the auction. The financial limits of the Regional Administrative Courts are increased. The duties of judicial inspectors are defined. A woman can challenge paternity presumption by filing a case for the denial of parentage. The law makes provisions concerning the positions of the Judges and Prosecutors Council (HSC) and the Constitutional Court. The provision stating that a woman takes her husband's surname upon marriage has been removed from the draft text.
