Finance Initiates Action Against Informality in the Alcoholic Beverage Sector

The Ministry of Finance has initiated a study targeting the informal economy in the alcoholic beverage sector. According to the announcement, a physical inventory count has been started for major taxpayers in the alcoholic beverages sector as part of sectoral inspections. Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek stated in a message on X regarding the matter, "A simultaneous physical inventory count has begun at 100 locations of alcoholic beverage companies across 22 provinces. These companies consist of large firms with total revenues amounting to 100 billion lira."
