Kacır: Over One-Third of Investment Sites Received Applications in the First Month of Our Initiative

Forex - Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır stated regarding the amendment to the OSB regulation, “In the first month of our implementation, applications were made for more than one-third of the investment plots. This interest indicates that our step has been positively received by our industrialists.”

Minister Kacır commented on the allocation process of investment areas in organized industrial zones (OSB) in a post he shared on social media platform X. Reminding that unallocated investment areas in OSBs across Turkey are opened to online access for industrialists on the first Monday of every month, Kacır said, “In the first month of our implementation, applications were made for more than one-third of the investment plots. This interest indicates that our step has been positively received by our industrialists. This week, with our second announcement, we opened approximately 1,184 plots spanning 16 million square meters in 94 OSBs for allocation applications and around 8 million square meters in 10 OSBs at the establishment stage for preliminary allocation applications. Our goal is to connect our country with new investments.”

ONLINE ALLOCATION PERIOD With the regulation, new industrial areas suitable for investment and fully equipped plots will be announced regularly on the first Monday of each month. All unallocated OSB plots will be opened for online allocation every month.
