BIST 100 Kicks Off the Day with Gains: Which Stocks Stand Out at Opening?

The BIST 100 index opened the day with an increase of 0.34% at 8,647.94 points.

The BIST 100 closed the previous day’s trading down by 0.52% at 8,618.57 points. The index is hovering around 250 dollars in dollar terms. Yesterday, 32 stocks in the BIST 100 gained value while 65 declined. The total trading volume for stocks included in the BIST 100 was 67.65 billion TL, accounting for 77% of the total trading volume.

After a positive opening today, the BIST 100 index rose by 0.7% during the first transactions, reaching the 8,680 point range, before pulling back to the 8,600 point level. In sector performance, information technology, trade, and construction were the top gainers at the opening. The communication, metal, and metal goods sectors started the day in the negative. Banks began the day with a half-point rise, while the holding sector approached a rise of nearly 1%.

In the overall Istanbul Stock Exchange, IHLGM, IHLAS, and MGROS shares stood out as the top gainers in the first hour. TSGYO, REEDR, and ULAS shares ranked among the top decliners at the opening.

In the domestic currency market, the dollar/TL is trading at 34.26 with a slight decrease of about 0.14%. The euro/TL is experiencing a sharper decline, with the pair down 1.75% to 36.87 in the morning hours. Gold in grams is near the 3,000 TL threshold, down by approximately 0.8%.

In foreign markets, Chinese indices are preparing to close the day in the negative, while Japan's Nikkei is showing a rise of around 2%. US indices moved quite positively in the previous day's transactions, and this positive outlook appears to be continuing in US futures indices as well. European futures indices are also moving higher ahead of the market opening.
