Forex - The Turkish Informatics Association (TBD) has published the "Carbon Footprint Report" and the "Artificial Intelligence Applications in Public Sector Report" aimed at enhancing Turkey's global competitiveness in the field of informatics. The "Carbon Footprint Report" discusses the impacts of carbon footprints and provides information on possible ways to reduce them, including details about carbon verification processes. The report contains comprehensive information about Emission Trading Systems, Carbon Credits, Carbon Taxes, and Carbon Exchanges. The "Artificial Intelligence Applications in Public Sector Report," prepared by public and private sector experts, serves as a guideline for the correct and effective implementation of artificial intelligence in the public sector by examining successful practices around the world.
The "Public-BIB'27 (Association of Public Informatics Centers Managers) BİMY'31 (Information Processing Center Managers) Integrated Event" was held in Antalya with the participation of both public and private sector informatics professionals. The event, themed "Innovative and Green (Y2) Technologies," was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Muhammet Kasım Gönüllü, BTK Chairman Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu, KVKK Deputy Chairman Dr. Cihan Kanlıgöz, and TRNC BTHK Deputy Chairman Tayfun Aydınlı, along with experts from the public and private sectors.
"Turkey Must Take Rapid Steps in Artificial Intelligence and Green Technologies" At the event, TBD President Rahmi Aktepe emphasized that the transformation brought by artificial intelligence would radically change the dynamics of the economy and social systems, stating, "Artificial intelligence will contribute $13 trillion to the global economy by 2030. To benefit from this economy, the public and private sectors need to act together. Our theme this year was 'Innovative and Green Technologies' to attract the attention of both the public and private sectors. Turkey must take swift steps in two key areas—Artificial Intelligence and Green Technologies—to achieve economic independence and become a strong and leading country. As TBD, we are putting our hands to work. We aimed to create an agenda in our country by bringing the public and private sectors together. Our next step will be to organize the 3rd Informatics Council, where the future of our country's informatics will be defined, together with our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Our goal is to hold the 3rd Informatics Council in November, ensuring that our country becomes a significant player in artificial intelligence and a country that is followed rather than a follower in informatics," he stated.
