Japan's Crude Steel Production Plummets 7.8% Year-on-Year in October
Forex - Japan's crude steel production in October fell by 7.8% compared to the same month last year. According to data released by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), production increased by 4.6% compared to the previous month, reaching 6.9249 million tons. Hot-rolled steel products production declined by 0.6% month-on-month and 8.3% year-on-year, totaling 5.9948 million tons. Pig iron production saw a monthly increase of 5.7% but a yearly decrease of 6.1%, reaching 5.0754 million tons. Electric arc furnace facilities produced 1.8235 million tons, representing a monthly decrease of 10.5% and a yearly decline of 0.3%.
