Public Review of the Environmental Impact Assessment Report for OYAK Cement's Limestone Quarries and Crushing-Screening Plant Project
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Report for the Limestone Quarry and Crushing Screening Facility project planned by OYAK Cement has been opened for public consultation.
In a statement on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permits and Supervision, the following information was provided: "The Environmental Impact Assessment Report prepared for the Limestone Quarries and Crushing Screening Facility project with License Numbers 87304 and 87306, planned to be carried out by OYAK Cement Factories Inc. in Yüreğir District of Adana Province, has been reviewed and finalized by the Review and Evaluation Commission (REC). The report has been opened for public feedback in accordance with Article 14 (1) of the EIA Regulation for a period of ten (10) calendar days at the Ministry and the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. The opinions submitted to the Ministry/Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change will be taken into account in the decision-making process regarding the project. During this period, opinions and suggestions can be submitted to the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change or the Adana Provincial Directorates of Environment and Urbanization."
