Energy Import Bill Decreased by 7.3% in October

Forex - Turkey's energy import bill decreased by 7.3% in October compared to the same month last year. According to the statement made by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the import amount of mineral fuels, mineral oils, and products obtained from their distillation, bituminous substances, and mineral waxes, which are among the largest import items, reached 4 billion 988 million 175 thousand dollars last month. In the same month of 2023, the import bill was at 5 billion 380 million 883 thousand dollars. In the first 10 months of the year, energy imports fell by 7.2% to 53 billion 49 million 946 thousand dollars.
