TBB: 74,000 Women Entrepreneurs Secured 67 Billion TL in Loans from July to September

According to the Turkish Banking Association, in the period from July to September, 74,000 women entrepreneurs received loans amounting to 67 billion TL. Of the loans disbursed, 54% were medium and long-term loans, while 46% were short-term loans. The report states: "This report, which contains information about the loans provided to women entrepreneurs by deposit banks, development and investment banks, includes data collected since December 2022 and consists of data from 13 banks. Disbursed Credit In the period from July to September 2024, 74,000 women entrepreneurs were granted loans amounting to 67 billion TL. Of the disbursed loans, 54% were medium and long-term loans, while 46% were short-term loans. Outstanding Credit As of the end of September 2024, the outstanding loans given to women entrepreneurs totaled 198 billion TL. The total loan balance increased by 10% compared to the previous quarter and by 39% compared to the same period last year. As of September 2024, the total number of women entrepreneurs with outstanding loans increased by 12% compared to the previous quarter, reaching 314,000 individuals."
