Domestic Residents' Foreign Currency Deposits Decrease by $412.5 Million
Forex - The foreign currency deposits of domestic residents decreased by $412.5 million in one week.
According to the data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), the foreign currency deposits of domestic residents, which were $166 billion 664.40 million in the previous week, fell to $166 billion 252.3 million in the week ending November 22.
The foreign currency deposits of real persons increased by $1 billion 813.40 million compared to the previous week, reaching $105 billion 222.60 million, while the foreign currency deposits of legal entities decreased by $2 billion 225.90 million, totaling $61 billion 29.80 million.
The total foreign currency deposits of domestic residents, adjusted for parity effects, decreased by $1 billion 985 million. When adjusted for parity effects, the foreign currency deposits of real persons rose by $83 million, while those of legal entities fell by $2 billion 69 million.
