The Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, stated, "We are intensifying the fight against fraud, illegal betting, and gambling crimes, and strengthening inter-agency cooperation." In his statement regarding the convening of the Financial Crimes Coordination Board involving relevant ministries, intelligence units, and financial institutions through platform X, Minister Şimşek said, "We are taking additional measures to prevent crimes committed in the virtual environment, seize criminal proceeds, and make it more difficult to launder criminal proceeds. We are intensifying the fight against fraud, illegal betting, and gambling crimes, and strengthening inter-agency cooperation."
