Israel approves aviation agreement with Türkiye
The Israeli cabinet has approved the aviation agreement with Turkey. Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid announced the statement on Twitter. The Israeli cabinet has approved the aviation agreement that will pave the way for Turkish and Israeli airlines to resume reciprocal flights to Istanbul and various points in Turkey. Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid said in a statement on Twitter that the agreement will benefit Israeli citizens and improve relations between the two countries. The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said in a written statement, “Following the agreements reached during Prime Minister Yair Lapid’s visit to Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu in Ankara and his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as well as the positive developments in Israeli-Turkish relations over the past year, the two countries have decided to restore full diplomatic ties.” It was decided to raise the level of relations between the two countries once again to the level of full diplomatic relations and to reassign the ambassadors and consuls general of the two countries.
