Official reserve assets increased by 2.7% in a week.

Official reserve assets increased by 2.7% over the past week, reaching a level of $169.9 billion, according to the report released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT). This week, foreign currency assets rose by 3.4% to $90.3 billion, while gold reserves increased by 2.1% to $72.1 billion. The total IMF reserve position and SDR amounted to $7.5 billion, reflecting a 1.2% increase.

In the short term, the public sector's (Central Bank and Central Administration) foreign currency liabilities affecting liquidity rose by 1.6% to $101.4 billion. Pre-determined foreign currency liabilities increased by 1.8% to $50.8 billion, while conditional foreign currency liabilities rose by 1.4% to $50.6 billion. As of this week, the Central Bank's foreign currency liabilities from total swap transactions stood at $19.7 billion, with foreign currency receivables at $8.0 billion, resulting in net foreign currency liabilities of $11.7 billion.
