Oracle is at the forefront of assisting TikTok operations - The Information

Oracle has emerged as a leading candidate to help manage TikTok as part of an agreement orchestrated by President Donald Trump. According to a report by The Information, based on insights from investors, bankers, and former executives linked to TikTok’s owner, ByteDance, this arrangement aims to comply with legislation enacted last year that mandates divestiture or a ban. While ByteDance management favors Oracle, President Trump has expressed his support for a significant role for the company.

Additionally, ByteDance intends to maintain an active role in TikTok's operations, regardless of whether U.S. companies receive a share of TikTok's U.S. revenue. This could hinder the goals of various American bidders, including a consortium led by billionaire Frank McCourt and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. Investors familiar with ByteDance's plans believe the company is optimistic about President Trump approving a deal under Project Texas, a multi-billion dollar venture established between TikTok and Oracle.
