Alfa Solar Energy (ALFAS) has taken a significant step in Turkey's renewable energy sector by establishing a joint venture with Zorlu Holding. The companies announced the formation of a new entity named "Zorlu Alfa Solar Cell Production Inc." aimed at producing photovoltaic solar panel cells. This company will operate across the entire process from ingot slicing to wafer and solar cell production. Additionally, solar cell production and sales will be targeted for export markets, including Europe, the USA, and others, with a focus on enhancing Turkey's presence in these regions.

The new company's capital is set at 250,000 TL, with Alfa Solar committing 125,000 TL in cash, representing a 50% stake. The initial payment of 31,250 TL has been made prior to registration, with the remaining amount to be paid within 24 months post-registration. The strategic goal of Zorlu Alfa Solar Cell Production is to assess Turkey's renewable energy potential and enhance competitiveness in the global photovoltaic cell market, while aiming to reduce dependency on imports and expand export capacity.
