President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with Bakir Izetbegović, the leader of the Democratic Action Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In a statement made by the Directorate of Communications via X, it was noted that the latest situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and regional developments were discussed in detail.

During the call, President Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey closely and meticulously monitors developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He stated that the escalating tensions must be resolved urgently within the framework of Bosnia and Herzegovina's constitutional order and the rule of law. Erdoğan reaffirmed Turkey's strong support for the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina, indicating that necessary warnings had been issued to Milorad Dodik, the President of the Republika Srpska. He also highlighted the importance of political parties supporting territorial integrity uniting on common ground, and called for the international community to take a strong stand against separatism in the region.
