AM Best, the global credit rating agency, has affirmed an A (Excellent) Financial Strength Rating and an "a" (Excellent) Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating for Sun Hung Kai Properties Insurance Limited (SHKPI), based in Hong Kong. The outlook for these credit ratings remains stable.

The ratings reflect SHKPI's strong balance sheet, solid operational performance, neutral business profile, and adequate corporate risk management. The company's balance sheet strength is assessed as very strong, supported by risk-adjusted capitalization projected to reach its highest level by the end of the financial year ending June 30, 2024. SHKPI has increased its investments in cash and cash equivalents over the years, leading to improvements in credit quality, particularly in light of efforts to mitigate bond risks in China's real estate sector.
