Insurance companies' premium production increased by 55.1% in January-February.

Foreks - The total premium production of insurance companies increased by 55.0% in the January-February period of 2025 compared to the same period last year. According to data compiled by the Turkey Insurance Association (TSB) from its member companies, the premium production during this period reached 204 billion 177.2 million TL. In the same month last year, premium production stood at 131 billion 635.7 million TL.

Of the total premium production, 180 billion 267.5 million TL came from non-life insurance, while 23 billion 909.7 million TL was from life insurance. The market shares were 88.3% for non-life insurance and 11.7% for life insurance. In the same period last year, the shares were 89.7% for non-life and 10.6% for life insurance. The production growth for non-life insurance was 53.1%, while life insurance saw an increase of 71.9%.
