BIST 100 started the day with a decline: Which stocks stood out at the opening?

The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul opened the day with a decline of 1.01%, starting at 9,617.01 points. Following the opening, buying activity helped reduce losses to around 0.4%. In yesterday’s session, the BIST 100 index finished with a notable increase of 4.48%, closing at 9,715.58 points. Throughout the day, the index reached a low of 9,404.20 and a high of 9,811.55 points, while its dollar-based price stood at $255.83.

Among the sectoral and national indices, 65 closed in positive territory, with none finishing in the red. The trading index that saw the largest increase was in the commerce sector, rising by 7.80%, while the smallest gain was in technology, at 0.19%. Out of the 100 stocks included in the BIST 100, 98 gained value, and only 2 lost. The total trading volume for index stocks reached 174.2 billion TL, accounting for 82.66% of the overall market volume.
