A 'No Environmental Impact Assessment Required' decision has been made for Koza Altın's Gold-Iron Mine Open-Pit Operation project.

Foreks - A decision has been made regarding the Open-Pit Gold-Iron Mine Project planned by Koza Altın (IS:KOZAL) stating that an Environmental Impact Assessment is not required.

In a statement released on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permission, and Supervision, it was noted: "The PTD File submitted to our Ministry for the Gold-Iron Mine Open-Pit Operation Project with License No. S:201000763, planned by Koza Altın İşletmeleri A.Ş. in the Yüncüler Village area of Yusufeli, Artvin province, has been reviewed and evaluated. In accordance with Article 17 of the EIA Regulation, the Provincial Directorate has determined that an Environmental Impact Assessment is not necessary for the Gold-Iron Mine Open-Pit Operation Project with License No. S:201000763."
