Alfa Solar's bold move to establish a massive solar panel production facility.
Alfa Solar Enerji (ALFAS) announced that its application to establish an integrated facility for photovoltaic solar panel production, encompassing ingot slicing, wafer, and cell production, has been positively evaluated under the High Technology Investment Program (HİT-30) conducted by the Ministry of Industry and Technology of Turkey. The total investment size is approximately $400 million, with the project expected to create 2,100 jobs upon completion.
The company confirmed that it has submitted a guarantee letter worth 50 million TL to the Ministry of Industry and Technology. Alfa Solar also stated that it postponed its public announcement regarding the investment evaluation process due to ongoing assessments, and it is now sharing details following the completion of the approval process. This investment will be realized through Zorlu Alfa Solar, in which Alfa Solar holds a 50% stake, marking a significant step in reducing Turkey's dependence on foreign solar energy technologies.
