The Competition Authority has launched an investigation into five technology companies, including Apple, over allegations of interference in sales prices. The investigation aims to determine whether these companies have violated the Competition Protection Law.
The investigation specifically targets Apple Technology and Sales Limited Company, along with four other tech firms involved in the import and export of various technological devices such as computers, tablets, mobile phones, headphones, and accessories. The Authority is examining claims that these companies have interfered with the resale prices set by their resellers. Following thorough on-site inspections, it was decided to investigate whether the resale prices and promotional conditions for Apple-branded products were coordinated among certain companies in the buyback market. The findings related to import and sales processes will be evaluated in detail.
