Foreign investors made sales in the stock market.
In the week of March 21, foreign investors made a net sale of $443.8 million in equities, based on data excluding market price and exchange rate fluctuations, as reported by Foreks. According to the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), net sales of government bonds (DIBS) reached $439.5 million during the same week. Foreign investors recorded net sales of $157.3 million in reverse repos and net purchases of $148.4 million in secured DIBS. While no DIBS loan transactions occurred, net purchases of corporate bonds amounted to $3.4 million.
The market value of foreign investors' equity holdings reached $28.76 billion. DIBS (certain purchase) stocks stood at $18.70 billion, reverse repo stocks at $1.58 billion, and secured DIBS stocks at $10.92 billion. Exports from sectors outside general administration were reported at $716 million.
