The Central Bank of Turkey's foreign currency reserves decreased by 8.7 billion dollars.
Last week, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) experienced a significant decline in foreign currency reserves. According to the weekly data from the CBRT, the foreign currency reserves dropped by $8.741 billion, falling from $97.069 billion to $88.328 billion for the week ending March 21.
In contrast, gold reserves increased from $74.012 billion to a new peak of $74.785 billion. As a result, total reserves decreased from $171.084 billion to $163.114 billion. The net international reserves, which stood at $73.900 billion the previous week, saw a decline of $11.804 billion, reaching $62.096 billion in the reported week.
