SoftBank is considering an investment of approximately $1 trillion in the US artificial intelligence sector.
According to Nikkei, SoftBank Group Corp. is considering a massive investment of 150 trillion yen (approximately 1 trillion dollars) in the U.S. artificial intelligence sector. This initiative includes developing industrial parks where AI-driven factories operate with minimal human intervention, addressing labor shortages.
If the plan progresses, it will surpass previous announcements in North America and indicate significant expansion in its targets. Masayoshi Son, the Chairman and CEO of SoftBank, is currently in the U.S. and is expected to discuss the "Industrial Park Concept" with the U.S. administration. If realized, this investment will reinforce the company's commitment to advancing AI development and automation in manufacturing.
