100 million TL investment from Letven Capital to Linktera
Letven Capital invested 100 million TL in Linktera. Linktera CEO Taşkın Osman Aksoy stated that with this investment and partnership, they will accelerate their transformation from a 'service company to a Fintech company' on the one hand, and on the other hand, they will open new offices in the USA and Qatar, in addition to their offices and R&D centers in Turkey and Dubai, in order to increase their geographical coverage in the field of software and consultancy. Linktera, which provides digital transformation and consultancy services in the fields of media, transportation, logistics, e-commerce and public, primarily in the finance and banking sector, has signed an important business partnership by receiving an investment of 100 million TL from Letven Capital, a Venture Capital Portfolio Management company. With this investment, Linktera plans to expand into new geographies in addition to its headquarters and sales offices in Turkey and Dubai, and to focus on new products and services in addition to its existing products. Providing information about the business partnership and future plans, Linktera CEO Taşkın Osman Aksoy said, “In 10 years, we have spent 120 million TL on R&D and implemented more than 30 R&D projects. In the last 3 years, we have launched and started selling 6 different products. We have achieved all of these with the ideas and services of more than 250 of our colleagues, each of whom is an expert in their own field and is also an entrepreneur. With this new partnership we have made with Letven Capital, we aim to offer this ‘transforming the future’ strategy, the foundations of which we laid, to a much wider geographical area.” Underlining that when companies receive investment, the way they use this capital inflow also reveals that company's view of its own business and country, Letven Capital General Manager Kamil Kılıç said, “The size of the software and IT sector in Turkey has reached 23 billion dollars. According to a study, 208 technology startups in Turkey received an investment of 1.5 billion dollars in the first 9 months of 2022; with this amount, Turkey ranked 3rd after the USA and the UK. According to the figures for the last quarter of the year, technology companies in Turkey are thought to have received 1.8 billion dollars in investment. This figure was 1.6 billion dollars in 2021. We are pleased with this investment appetite for technology companies in Turkey.” Expansion to Different Geographies Will Continue Linktera CEO Taşkın Osman Aksoy said, “Last year, we signed more than 130 different projects. Until now, the main goal was to deliver these services to Middle Eastern countries through our offices in Turkey and Dubai. With this new investment, we will continue our expansion abroad, which is among our goals. We will open another office in Qatar in the first half of the year and another office in the USA in the second half.”
