ECB/Villeroy: European inflation to peak in first half of 2023
European Central Bank (ECB) Policymaker Francois Villeroy de Galhau said inflation should peak in France and Europe in the first half of next year. "There is no question of letting inflation settle, it is an economic disease; inflation should peak in France and Europe in the first half of next year," ECB Policymaker Francois Villeroy de Galhau told France 5 television. Villeroy, who is also the governor of the French central bank, said inflation should return to the ECB's target of 2% in two or three years.
