Food Committee prepares to take measures on feed prices
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance made a statement regarding the Food and Agricultural Product Markets Monitoring and Evaluation Committee Meeting. Minister of Treasury and Finance Nureddin Nebati stated on his social media account regarding the decisions taken at the meeting that a road map was determined regarding measures to minimize the negative effects that may occur in vegetable and vegetable prices during the winter months. According to the statement, the current status of global food prices and the course of food prices in line with the developments in Turkey's 2022 harvest season were evaluated at the meeting, and the increase in feed prices was also discussed. The statement from the Food Committee said, "Possible measures that can be taken to minimize the negative effects that developments in feed prices may bring to our producers and therefore our citizens were discussed and a road map was created." The statement included the following statements: "Measures to minimize the negative effects that may occur in vegetable prices during the winter months were discussed and it was decided to work in cooperation with the relevant institutions to accelerate greenhouse investments." In the statement made after the meeting, it was also stated that it was decided that the entrance and exit to the wholesale markets would be closely monitored by the relevant ministries, that solutions and measures that would prevent consumer victimization would be implemented quickly within the scope of the information to be obtained from this system, and that cooperation between institutions would be maintained at a high level in this regard.
