Headline: European Court of Justice Rules in Favor of Intel
The Court of Justice of the European Union, the highest court in Europe, has ruled in favor of Intel (NASDAQ: INTC), concluding nearly two decades of conflict between the U.S. chip manufacturer and the European Commission, which accused Intel of trying to block its competitor. The European Commission had fined Intel 1.06 billion euros, alleging that the company granted discounts to computer manufacturers Dell, HP, NEC, and Lenovo for purchasing most of their chips from Intel, as a move to hinder AMD (NASDAQ: AMD).
