Bloomberg HT Consumer Confidence Index Increased by 3.18% in October Compared to Previous Month's Final Index
In October, the Bloomberg HT Consumer Confidence Index increased by 3.18% compared to the final index of the previous month, reaching a value of 68.65. The report noted: "Examining the details of the index, a decline is observed in consumers' perception of their current personal situation and their expectations for the next 12 months, while an improvement is seen in consumption trends. The increase in consumption trends continues to be the main reason for the rise in consumer confidence. In this context, the Bloomberg HT Consumer Expectation Index decreased by 1.75% compared to the previous month, reaching a value of 63.57. The fluctuations in expectations continue. On the other hand, the Bloomberg HT Consumption Trend Index, which measures the suitability for purchasing durable goods, cars, and housing during this period, increased by 12.41% to a value of 72.69. The persistent increase in consumption trends in recent months raises the possibility that the anticipated slowdown in domestic demand in the fight against inflation may not be strong enough."
