Kiler's 905 million TL Sapphire move
Kiler Real Estate Investment and KBC Food have reached an agreement to purchase the entirety of İstanbul Sapphire, owned by Halkbank, for TL 905 million. Kiler Holding's subsidiary Kiler Real Estate Investment and its group company KBC Food have signed a contract to purchase the entirety of the "Istanbul Sapphire" shopping mall and observation deck owned by Halkbank for TL 905 million. In a statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) by Kiler Holding on Monday evening, it was announced that a "Real Estate Sales Promise Agreement" was signed regarding the purchase. The statement indicated that an agreement was signed for the purchase of all 247 independent sections, including 146 real estates belonging to the İstanbul Sapphire shopping mall and observation deck by the company for TL 760 million and 101 real estates for TL 145 million by the main partner Kiler Holding group company KBC Food Industry and Trade Ltd. Co., for TL 905 million. It was also stated that the shares belonging to Safir Çarşı Yönetim Hizmetleri AŞ, which was established for the management and operation of the real estate in question, will be purchased by Kiler GYO at their nominal value. In 2020, Kiler GYO announced that the sale of real estate in the company's portfolio to buyers with a certain discount rate from their appraisal values against debts was completed in order to reduce the company's financial burden. With this sale, the company's total financial burden of 583 million TL was liquidated. It was not stated in the 2020 statement whether the sale was made to creditor banks.
