Bolat: We Place Great Importance on Increasing Bilateral Trade Volume and Mutual Investments with Iraq

The Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat stated, "In Baghdad, we held a roundtable meeting with Iraqi Minister of Trade Mr. Atir al-Gireyri and Iraqi Minister of Construction and Housing Mr. Bengin Rekani, discussing new areas of collaboration with our contracting firms."

Bolat elaborated on this by saying, "As Turkey, we place great importance on increasing the bilateral trade volume and mutual investments with Iraq. In this context, we value the participation of our Turkish companies in contracting and development projects as well as infrastructure projects in Iraq.

We believe that the realization of the Great Faw Port and the Development Road Project will significantly contribute to the relations between the two countries and to the development of regional and global trade.

During our discussions, we emphasized once again that our business community and contracting companies are ready to participate in many significant projects, particularly infrastructure and contracting projects in Iraq, given their experience and the advanced technology and skill levels they possess."
