With the circular published in the Official Gazette, surveillance measures will be applied to the import of bulk ethyl alcohol and malto dextrin derivatives that are food additives The Ministry of Trade announced that surveillance will be applied to the import of bulk ethyl alcohol and malto dextrin derivatives that are food additives. According to the circular of the Ministry of Trade on the implementation of surveillance in imports published in the Official Gazette, the import of bulk ethyl alcohol with 99 percent or higher purity with a unit customs value below 1.15 dollars/kg and malto dextrin derivatives with a unit customs value below 1.25 dollars/kg can be made with a surveillance certificate to be issued by the General Directorate of Imports. In the same newspaper, two circulars were also published regarding the prevention of unfair competition in imports, which were directed to the opening of an investigation by the Unfair Competition Assessment Board in response to the application made by domestic companies on the grounds that the anti-dumping measures applied to "woven fabrics of synthetic filament yarn" originating in Bosnia and Herzegovina and "woven fabrics of synthetic or artificial staple fibers" originating in North Macedonia and many European Union countries were rendered ineffective.
