Growth forecast from China's central bank governor
The Governor of the People's Bank of China, Yi Gang, said that the Chinese economy will likely grow by around 5% this year. The Governor of the People's Bank of China, Yi Gang, was in Washington for the IMF-World Bank meetings and attended the G20 finance ministers and central bank governors meeting. Yi said in his speech that the Chinese economy is stabilizing and recovering, while also stressing that inflation remains low. The Governor of the People's Bank of China, Yi, also said that China is willing to work with other countries on a debt relief framework.
