Limited fall in inflation in the UK
Inflation in the UK fell slightly in March, from 10.4 percent in February to 10.1 percent in March. According to the Office for National Statistics, the annual consumer price index fell from 10.4 percent in February to 10.1 percent in March. Economists had expected 9.8 percent. The figure suggests that consumers under pressure are seeing some relief after months of rising prices. Annual producer prices fell from 12.7 percent in February to 7.6 percent in March. Expectations were for 7 percent.
