EURUSD

A challenging week is ahead for the EUR/USD pair. The strong Dollar theme, which is the main story of the week, will continue to be the biggest pressure factor on the pair. The messages of a hawkish stance that Fed Chairman Powell will deliver in his speech this evening, along with the non-farm payroll data, which is expected to exceed expectations and will be released on Friday for the first time in 7 years with a delay, will push the Dollar index higher, pulling the pair down. On the European front, the CPI data, which is expected to remain stable at 2.2% and will be announced on Friday, does not provide a reason for the European Central Bank to raise interest rates, reducing the Euro's attractiveness. This asymmetric monetary policy expectation may lead to continued selling pressure on the EUR/USD pair and the persistence of the downward trend.
