Changes from the Central Bank to the regulation of payment and electronic money institutions
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has amended the regulation and relevant communiqué on payment services and electronic money issuance and payment service providers. According to the Regulation on Amendments to the Regulation on Service Providers published in the Official Gazette, the phrases “until 30 April 2023” in the first, fifth, ninth, eleventh, seventeenth and eighteenth paragraphs of the temporary article 1 of the Regulation on Payment Services and Electronic Money Issuance and Payment Service Providers published in the Official Gazette dated 1 December 2021 and numbered 31676 have been changed to “until 30 June 2023”. According to the amendment circular, the phrases "until 30 April 2023" in the first, second and third paragraphs of the temporary article 1 of the Communiqué on the Information Systems of Payment and Electronic Money Institutions and Data Sharing Services of Payment Service Providers in the Field of Payment Services, published in the Official Gazette dated 1 December 2021 and numbered 31676, were changed to "until 30 June 2023". The amendment regulation and communiqué published in the Official Gazette entered into force.
