The German index starts the week with signals of a slowdown in export markets; in particular, the contraction data from China is negatively affecting global risk appetite. On the first day of the week, which will be quiet in the Eurozone, the direction of the index will be determined by the manufacturing PMI data coming from the US in the afternoon. Weak US data could increase fears of a global recession, putting pressure on the index, while strong data might provide a temporary respite from concerns.
