Japan’s core machinery orders fell more than expected. Japan’s core machinery orders fell more than expected in March, down 3.9 percent from a month earlier, according to data from the Japanese Cabinet Office. Analysts had expected a 0.7 percent increase on the month. Machinery orders also fell 3.5 percent from a year earlier, against expectations for a 1.4 percent increase in printing. Japan’s machinery orders rose 9.8 percent annually in February.
