The country’s composite purchasing managers’ index (PMI) was unchanged from the previous month at 52.1 in July. Readings above 50 indicate expansion in the sector, while readings below 50 indicate contraction. The services PMI fell slightly to 53.9 from 54 in June, while manufacturing activity remained in contraction territory, falling to 49.4 from 49.8.
