Treasury: $1.5 billion Eurobond issue received 3 times more demand
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance announced that there was 3 times more demand for the 1.5 billion dollar Eurobond issue and the yield rate was 10 percent. The Ministry of Treasury and Finance borrowed 1.5 billion dollars from international markets. In a statement made by the ministry, it was announced that the coupon rate for the 5-year bond was 9.875 percent and the yield rate was 10 percent. More than 150 investors demanded more than 3 times the issue amount. 33 percent of the bond was sold to investors in the USA, 27 percent to Turkey, 22 percent to the UK, 10 percent to other European countries, 7 percent to the Middle East, and 1 percent to investors in other countries. The return of the Eurobond to the investor was UST + 561.4 basis points on a spread basis. The ministry announced that the issue amount in question would be entered into accounts on November 15. With this borrowing, 9 billion dollars of financing was provided from international markets in 2022.
