Pilot application of Türkiye Card has been completed
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu noted that the pilot application of the Türkiye Kart project has been completed in Konya and that work is continuing to make it widespread in 81 provinces and said, "We took the first step in Konya. Contract processes with municipalities have also been completed in Kayseri, Yozgat, and Gümüşhane." Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made evaluations about Türkiye Kart. Regarding Türkiye Kart, which offers the opportunity to benefit from all transportation services and the financial system, he said, "Within the scope of the project, our aim is to put Türkiye Kart into operation in every field by establishing a clearing, switch, settlement, and operation center where all stakeholders in the transportation sector where urban public transportation services are offered will be included. To ensure that Türkiye Kart can be used as a single card for transportation vehicles, money transfers, shopping, and many needs." Integration process completed Minister Uraloğlu said, "Technical infrastructure processes have been completed in Konya. The new airport metro line integration in Istanbul is also ready. The contract process with Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, Yozgat, and Gümüşhane Municipalities has been completed. In line with the Presidency Annual Program, our goal is to put the project into operation in 6 provinces by the end of 2023. The umbrella contract processes for putting Türkiye Kart into operation in all rail systems operated by TCDD and TCDD Taşımacılık are also ongoing. Post-contract integration processes will be initiated on GAZİRAY, BAŞKENTRAY and İZBAN lines. In the future, we aim to include other municipalities and operators in the system and expand the project. Türkiye Kart Project will bring a significant transformation to the transportation sector. Our citizens will be able to carry out transportation and payment transactions more easily, quickly and effectively,” he said. Türkiye Kart, which will be used in 6 provinces by the end of the year, can be used in POS and ATM devices, municipality fees and tax payments, parking payments, contracted workplaces, taxi payments, food and beverage vending machines along with public transportation. In addition, loading transactions can be made through PTT channels, banks and government institutions, online channels, mobile applications and contracted workplaces.
