CMB moved applications to electronic environment
The Capital Markets Board (CMB) has made the first phase of the “Electronic Application System (e-Application)” project, the work on which has been completed, ready for use. According to the Capital Markets Board (CMB) statement, the Board has implemented a new project in line with the goal of using technology more intensively in its activities. Thus, the CMB has made the first phase of the “Electronic Application System (e-Application)” project, the work on which has been completed, ready for use. The e-Application project, which aims to receive the applications made to the Board by capital market institutions, organizations and partnerships in an electronic environment, aims to transfer the application processes to be made to the CMB to an electronic environment and to finalize the applications in a shorter time. The first phase of the e-Application application has been put into operation as of today. In the first phase, Portfolio Management Companies and Investment Partnerships will be able to apply to the Board via the e-Application application. As of the first month of 2024, over 250 applications of all institutions, organizations and partnerships subject to the CMB will start to be made electronically. In order for applications to be made to the Board electronically, the applicant company/institution officials must log in to the CMB's e-Application service by verifying their identity via e-Government. Company official control can be provided with the integration of the Ministry of Trade MERSIS application. The company official authorized to use the service to be signed with electronic signature will select the type of application they want to make, enter the documents and information they need to send for that application into the system electronically and sign it with an electronic signature and complete their application. After this stage, the application documents will be forwarded to the relevant department of the board for control and then forwarded to the experts electronically. After the expert review, the missing documents, additional documents and other documents required for the application will again be requested electronically by the expert. Thus, every stage of the application can be followed electronically. With the e-Application project, the completion time of applications made to the Board will be shortened and stationery will be reduced. Waiting periods arising from missing information/documents before the project will be followed instantly thanks to e-Application and will be reported to the parties through the system.
