TCMB reserves rise to record level
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) reserves rose to a record level of $140.1 billion. The momentum of increase in the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) reserves brought a record. According to TCMB data, as of the week of December 1, gross reserves reached a historical peak of $140.1 billion. The bank's net reserves decreased from $35.8 billion to $34.8 billion. A recovery was observed in net reserves excluding swaps. In the week of December 1, net reserves excluding swaps were recorded as minus $46.7 billion. The previous week, net reserves excluding swaps had been minus $51 billion.
