Tesla Recalls Over 2 Million Vehicles
Tesla has recalled more than 2 million vehicles to fix an Autopilot issue. Tesla Inc. has issued a recall for more than 2 million vehicles to fix an Autopilot issue following a warning from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). This is the second recall related to Tesla’s Autopilot system this year. NHTSA said the company will roll out the update to select vehicles, including the Model S, X, 3 and Y, as a fix. Tesla has faced increased scrutiny after its Autopilot system was involved in hundreds of crashes, some fatal. The regulator has opened investigations into more than 50 crashes. Investigations into Tesla’s Autopilot feature have accelerated with the Biden administration.
