Nvidia's market value surpasses Alphabet

As demand for artificial intelligence chips continues to grow, California-based chipmaker Nvidia has surpassed Amazon and Alphabet with a market value of approximately $1.83 trillion. Nvidia's shares rose 2.5 percent to $739 yesterday, bringing the company's stock to nearly 50 percent since the beginning of the year. With a market value of $1.83 trillion today, Nvidia has surpassed Amazon and Alphabet. The market value of Google's parent company Alphabet, whose shares increased by 0.5 percent today, was calculated as $1.82 trillion. Thus, Nvidia became the third most valuable company in the US, while Alphabet fell to fourth place. The first two most valuable companies in the country were Microsoft with $3 trillion and Apple with $2.8 trillion. US retail giant Amazon came in fifth with a market value of approximately $1.8 trillion. Nvidia had surpassed Amazon in terms of market value the day before, climbing to fourth place. The company's market value had reached $1 trillion in May last year, driven by increasing demand for artificial intelligence chips.
