Mitsubishi forms coalition for e-natural gas development
Mitsubishi Corp. has announced that it will form an international coalition with seven companies, including TotalEnergies and Tokyo Gas, to support the development and production of electric natural gas (e-NG). Mitsubishi Corp. has announced that it will form a coalition to promote electric natural gas (e-NG). Mitsubishi stated in a statement that e-NG is a synthetic gas produced from renewable hydrogen and carbon dioxide (CO2) and can be transported and stored using existing infrastructures. The Japanese trade agency said that Mitsubishi and its partners plan to accelerate the development of e-NG in a reliable, affordable and sustainable way in order to contribute to the fight against climate change. It was announced that Mitsubishi’s other partners will be Engie from France, Sempra Infrastructure from the US, TES from Belgium, and Osaka Gas and Toho Gas from Japan. On the other hand, it was announced that the companies in question plan to form a group called the “e-NG Coalition” in the first half of the year.
