Musk says Apple continues to advertise on Twitter
Elon Musk said Apple will continue to advertise on Twitter, adding that Apple is the biggest advertiser on the social media network. Elon Musk said Apple has “completely restarted” advertising on Twitter, further easing an escalating battle between two of the world’s most influential tech companies. Musk made the remarks during a Twitter Spaces chat on Saturday, adding that Apple is the biggest advertiser on the social media network. The billionaire, who did not provide further details about Apple, spoke for more than two hours from his private jet in a chat with more than 90,000 listeners. Apple did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Musk lashed out at Apple last week, saying the maker of iPhones and Mac computers had largely stopped advertising on Twitter and threatened to block the site from the App Store. Musk added that by targeting Apple, it was risking a war with the world’s most valuable company and top advertiser as other companies pull their ads from Twitter.
