The Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) has made changes regarding minimum and maximum price limits in the day-ahead and balancing power markets. According to the decision of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) published in the Official Gazette, an amendment was made to the fifth paragraph of the temporary first article of the Procedures and Principles on Determining Minimum and Maximum Price Limits in the Day-Ahead Market and Balancing Power Market. According to the decision of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) published in the Official Gazette, the minimum price limits will be applied as 0 TL/MWh, and the maximum price limits will be 3 thousand 50 TL/MWh in the relevant markets. The amendment included the following statements: “From the date of entry into force of this paragraph until a new decision is taken by the Board, the minimum price limits will be applied as 0 TL/MWh, and the maximum price limits will be applied as 3 thousand 50 TL/MWh in the relevant markets. During this application, the provisions of the second paragraph of the fourth article of these Procedures and Principles shall not apply.” The day-ahead market is defined as an organized market operated by the market operator, used for electricity trading and balancing activities one day before the delivery date of electricity. The market aims to determine the reference price of electricity energy.
